Hi There! I'm Rebecca Forth!

I aim to use my skills in lighting and compositing to apply light to characters and scenes, focusing on the goal of a professional final product, while keeping in mind the artistic vision and guidance of the director, supervisors, and other team members.
I started working at Industrial Light and Magic first as a Resource Assistant, then as an External Assistant Technical Assistant has built up my knowledge of working in a real studio pipeline, adhering to deadlines, writing small tools to increase efficiency, and working in multiple software programs.

I now work as an Look Development Lighting Artist at Industrial Light and Magic. My last project was The Mandalorian, where I put the final touches on many assets, and then proceeded to light them in shot. The look development portion entails adjusting shaders and materials, troubleshooting how the asset renders, and adding adjustable variables via macros within Katana to allow lighters to fine-tune the look per shot.

As look development ramps down, I move on to shot lighting! There I light CG assets to best match the live action footage they are paired with. I adhere to concept art and direction if no live action element is involved.
